Patrick M Keenan
Patrick Macaulay Keenan is a composer and musician based in Aberdeen, Scotland. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Composition in the Music Department at the University of Aberdeen.
His research interests include stereo and multichannel electroacoustic music, music for ensemble and live electronics, generative music for live performers and algorithmic approaches to data sonification. Recently he has been exploring notions of representation, re-presentation and metaphor within various musical contexts.
He has been awarded numerous awards and scholarships including a CASS scholarship, a SIET grant, the Chris Cadwur James Composition Prize, a James Milne Memorial Trust Grant and an Ogston postgraduate scholarship.
As well as composing across a multitude of genres, he also performs solo on acoustic guitar and laptop using his own performance specific software.Listen
